My Story

Too much brain is not good

You read that right. Magic words spoken by my dad. Be spirited and take calculated risks. At age 18, when my father migrated from Argentina to Canada, by himself, with no knowledge of English, he did exactly that, followed his gut! Agreed, at 18, we are all more spirited than at 35, 40 or 50. But the difference is, he continued taking calibrated risks through every failed and successful endeavour in life, never stopping, never discouraged.

A few years later, with a flourishing business and a sound future built for his family, it sure paid off!

And that’s where my story began

My life’s choices have hardly been conventional. With no college degree, I marched confidently into a traditional industry, known for its qualified and highly experienced workforce. I hit my own share of bumps along the way but perseverance, tenacity and the determination to challenge the status quo, always worked.

Be self-sufficient

Whether it is growing my own vegetables or cooking for my kids or being the unorthodox dude in a highly traditional industry, my Southern-Italy farm-girl-mom, showed me what it truly means to be self-sufficient. It helps me stay confident in the face of all adversities. Try it. You’ll never let yourself down!

Love what you do

Son’s hockey practice, daughter’s tooth extraction, family horse riding lesson, meeting with Board of Directors, negotiations over a business deal – all in one day; that’s my daily calendar. As a CEO and a full-time dad, I have mastered the art of multitasking. All it takes is immense love for what you do, being creative with all facets of life, cultivating gratitude for what we already have, and paying it forward whenever we can.
